A fully graphical, 3D TV advert, created for the album 'Monty Python, Sings Again'. I was responsible for all elements from design, to animation and compositing. Universal Music wanted for the creative direction to move away from and not be too dependant on the album cover, which were large singing lips.
I instead chose to use Terry Gilliam's famous and iconic artwork, used in the old Monty Python TV shows - all appearing within an animated pop-up book, that would dynamic flip between scenes as each song changes. Multiple ways in which the book could work was conceptualised, from a traditional page based book, to the ever growing fold-out map-like solution eventually developed.
